Out
of Place
Since Adam and Eve,
Have we ever felt in place,
Or since we ate,
The apple of travel,
Of the wider world,
Are we not always,
Trying to photograph,
The identity of a place,
Capture in the aperture of our eyes,
In the shutter of our senses,
Geneva, Beirut.
Putting together,
The impossible photos,
Of who we are,
Of where we are from,
And all we have seen,
When really we have fallen,
Out of place and in-between.
